Random Encounters

You come across random characters or events while you free-roam. A colored blip on the map will indicate the encounter.

Ambush

A shootout might be triggert, or a person is asking for help before calling for reinforcement.

Animal Attack

Rescue the person from attacking animals for a cash and honor reward.

Beggar

Destroy Moonshine Equipment

Kill any moonshiners and destroy their equipment to get an XP reward. The cost of mash is decreased by $20. A red circle on the mini-map indicates the encounter.

Roadblock

Kill the Revenue Agents to get an XP reward. The cost of mash is decreased by $20.

Moonshine Sabotage

Poison the moonshine without beeing seen. The cost of mash is decreased by $20 (unseen) or $10 (seen).

Crashed Wagon

Find and collect items spread around a crashed wagon.

Defend Campsite

Defend the campers from bandits to gain a reward.

Follow a dog

Follow the dog to either an ambush or a metal box containing a collectible.

Duel

A couple of people will be having a duel here, with nothing to be gained after conclusion.

Egg

Get to the egg nest before the predator eats the eggs.

Escort

Kill any enemies, then escort the person to their destination to gain a reward. All escorts have a chance of becoming an Ambush when accepted.

Fame Seeker

Do the task the fame seeker asks of you to gain a reward.

Grave Robber

Approach the grave robber to accept the mission. You have limited time to search up to 7 locations for a collectable item before the lawmen come.

Hogtied Lawman

Defeat the enemies then approach the hogtied lawman and free them to gain a reward.

Slumped Hunter

Loot the hunter. Watch out for attacking animals.

Stalking Hunter

Follow the hunter and kill the animal.

Kidnapping

Rescue the person from enemies for a cash and honor reward.

Moonshine Camp

Kill the moonshiners then loot the camp for a chance for Antique Alcohol Bottles or a Moonshiner recipe.

Camp Robbery

Take out the enemies, find the valuables, and deliver them to the drop point.

Homestead Robbery

Search the Homestead and steal the valuables.

Poached Animals

Kill any poachers and free the animal for a Naturalist XP reward.

Rescue

Rescue the person from various situations for a reward.

Rival Collector

A rival collector with fancy-looking clothes and saddlebags can spawn here. Kill them and loot their body for a chance to get a collectible.

Runaway Wagon

Jump to the wagon before it gets damaged and return it for a reward.

Suspension Trap

A man is hanging by his foot from a tree. Shoot him down to get a reward and positive honor.

Treasure Hunter

You can fight the Treasure Hunter and loot him to obtain a treasure map.

The maps spawn on trees mainly at night. Look for lantern light.

Wounded Animal

Kill the animal or wait for it to die, then walk over it to collect an arrowhead.
