Free Roam Missions
Scattered throughout the map are a number of characters who will give you missions to take on. From assassinations and kidnappings to wagon theft, you’ll never be short of ways to make a bit of extra RDO$.
Payout
Cash and XP rewards are around 400 XP and 15 RDO$ if you spend around 12 minutes in a mission.
Gold rewards depend on the time you've spent in a mission and are equal to bounty hunter missions. The timer begins as soon as you spawn on the map when the mission begins after a short cutscene.
The most efficient method of getting gold is to complete the missions immediately following the 3, 6, 9, or 12-minute marks.
| Time spend in mission | Gold amount |
|---|---|
| 0:00 - 3:00 | 0.00 |
| 3:00 - 6:00 | 0.08 |
| 6:00 - 9:00 | 0.16 |
| 9:00 - 12:00 | 0.24 |
| 12:00 - 15:00 | 0.32 |
| 15:00 - 20:00 | 0.36 |
| 20:00 - 25:00 | 0.40 |
| 25:00 - 30:00 | 0.44 |
| 30:00 and up | 0.48 |
Benefits
Compared to Bounty Hunter and Blood Money missions, the Free Roam Missions are easy. The total gold/cash/XP payout that you make doing Free Roam Missions and collecting at the same time, will be greater than doing Bounty Hunter missions alone. Moonshine and Trader production continues during missions.
| Note |
|---|
| The missions have a PvP element that can be disruptive. Other players get notified that they can attack the wagon or person you're transporting to mess with your mission. If you want to avoid other players, you should play in a solo lobby or avoid missions with PvP elements. |
